Environments
Environments
Environments represent the runtime domains where API Products are deployed and executed. They are the bridge between the static API definitions in the Catalog and the dynamic infrastructure that handles live traffic.
Environments also contain registered services such as Kafka Clusters & Schema Registries.
Key Concepts & Features
- Infrastructure elements must be registered with an Environment.
- Uses Bootstrap tokens to authenticate and attach to the control plane.
- Unified view of all runtime components within an environment.
- Automated configuration distribution to attached gateways.
Use Cases
- Explore Kafka clusters and Schema Registries to discover topics, schemas, and ACLs.
- Monitor Kafka Brokers across various environments.
- Manage Zilla Platform Gateways.
- Maintain separate environments based on the regulations/compliance.
- Configure standby environments with pre-registered infrastructure for rapid fail over.
